Humans, being not much more than hairless degenerate monkies, make pretty poor climbers. Mother nature, however has equiped many animals with excellent climbing abilities and anatomy. Today we start with our personal favourite, the anti-hero and great climber: the SLOTH
So what is rotsblok? A web site, you've probably noticed.
But it is a lot more. I've been climbing for ages now, from back in the days when there was no internet, till today. First let me tell you a bit about myself. I've been on national television, the radio, off the deck, in Peru, injured, failing, trying diamond hard, bulldog ugly ultra low sitstarts. I've been falling many meters, training long hours and most of all, i've been enjoying myself with friends a hell of a lot. Fucking priceless.
In this vertical word things are getting quite serious now (both technologically as climbing-y). And the thing I do second most (first prize: climbing) is hanging around in the ugly backalleys of the web. These virtual walls for climbers, are is still not the psychadelic buddhist supernova they could be, and should be. Ok, there are some pretty cool blogs out there and the rate by which good video's are being produced is awesome. And then there are 8a..nu and some less archaic versions such as sendage. They are pretty good and one of them might become great.
Last November was a hell. Delta weeks off from work. Three weeks Bleau. Purpose: Projects projects projects. Just like in the movies. And ultimately prevail .. well that was the plan ..
